A Decade of Dedication: From Bronze to Silver

Ten years ago, Assure Technical proudly received the Defence ERS Bronze Award, recognition early in our evolution of our commitment to supporting the armed forces community. This early recognition was a testament to our initial efforts and commitment to providing a supportive environment for veterans and military families. Over the past decade, we have continuously strived to improve our practices and enhance our support systems, ultimately leading to our recent achievement of the Silver Award.

A Veteran’s Journey at Assure Technical

Our connection with the armed forces community is deep-rooted. Pete Rucinski, Founder and Managing Director at Assure Technical, is a veteran himself. He has first-hand experience of the challenges that individuals face when leaving the armed forces to pursue a career in industry. Pete’s military experience has brought a wealth of knowledge and a unique perspective to our cyber security team. His story is a testament to the skills and resilience veterans bring to the corporate world, especially in the dynamic field of cyber security.

“We understand and value the transferable skills that are gained during a military career and wholeheartedly support individuals on this journey,” says Pete. “It can be difficult to know how to apply the skills gained within the military. All too often, individuals transitioning into the civilian sector undersell themselves when seeking employment. Veterans joining Assure Technical will receive training and mentorship to help them achieve their full potential within our company.”

Supporting Cadet Leaders and Reservists

Our commitment extends beyond veterans to include cadet leaders and reservists. We understand the critical role they play in preparing and supporting the next generation of military personnel. “We won’t stop at supporting ex-service personnel,” Pete emphasises. “Employees serving in the Territorial Army and Cadet Force volunteers will be afforded flexibility and support in order to carry out their commitments.”

Flexibility for Military Spouses

We also understand the unique challenges faced by military spouses and families.  Wherever possible, we ensure affected team members can align holidays with allocated military leave. We also provide flexible working options to accommodate the needs of military spouses.

“We also understand the sacrifices and unique circumstances that armed forces spouses and partners face. That’s why we are fully committed to supporting our employees in this situation too,” Pete affirms.
