Purpose of the Role:

Position Reports to: HR & Office Manager
Job Location:
Remote with regular visits to our Malvern office as required
Hours:
Part-time position requiring 3-4 hours per week on average
Hourly Rate: £20-£22 per hour
Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:
- Reconciliation of Bank Accounts, E-commerce receipts, Direct Debit receivables and Company card payments, including adjusting for provider costs deducted at source
- Creation of journals as required
- Monthly review of Expense claims, including private vehicle mileage claims – verifying correct recording and accompanying receipts prior to Manager approval
- Managing all spends submitted into DEXT, assigning correct cost codes, VAT as applicable and applying correct line items where appropriate
- Ensuring that all VAT is accurately recorded to enable accurate VAT Quarterly Return to be made via Accountants
About you
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years qualified Bookkeeping experience (AAT Level 3 Certificate in Bookkeeping/ Institute of Certified Association of Bookkeepers)
- Experience in working with £1m+ turnover clients
- Minimum 2 years experience working within the Xero Accounting system and it’s integrations, including Dext
- Thorough understanding of VAT rules and VAT return preparation
- Thorough understanding of VAT Rules and VAT Accounting systems
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
Experience in reconciling DEXT, GoCardless, Stripe and Credit Card transactions
